Oh Happy Day From The Sunny Meadow Fair

Hello friends!

Have you check out the new collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula already?

The Sunny Meadow Fair is now available at Purple Onion Designs and right now there's a bundle sale for the whole collection!  Check out the details here (:

And today I have another card to share!

Sending Sun-filled Wishes!

I love how this card turned out with the sun rays shining on Scarecrow's happy face (:  The sun rays from the stencil really lit up his face and the corn stalks at the background just added a little more fun to card.  The little birdie on Scarecrow seems to be shutting its eyes to the overwhelming sunrays (hahaha!)

All images are stamped with my fave Memento Black Tuxedo and as usual, I used my Silhouette Cameo PixScan function to have Scarecrow cut out.  All the stamped images are coloured with Copic makers.

I then used Sunrise Radiating Rays stencil from My Favorite Things and blended distress inks in Scattered Straws and Dried Marigold to create the sun and the sun rays.  Lastly, I stamped on the cornstalks at the background.

To add some greens to the card, I blended a multimedia card stock with some green distress ink and then I used my Fiskar grass puncher to create the grassy border at the bottom.  I then stamped the sentiment ~ sending sun-filled wishes in Versafine Pigment ink in Onxy Black.  I like how crisp and detailed the sentiment turned out.  To make it stand out a little more, I poured some clear embossing powder over the sentiment and heat set it with my heat embossing tool gun to give the sentiment an extra shine.

To complete the card, I put some foam adhesive and adhere Scarecrow to it.  And not forgetting that I added a few drops of Gloss Nuvo Drops in Ripened Pumpkin for the extra fun element!  Ok to be honest, I have LOTS of bottles of the Nuvo Drops so I have to find ways to use them! :P  Somehow the drops reminds me of orange flavoured candy drops!

I hope you like the card that I've shared today.   Please come back in a few day's time as I have more cards to share!

Keep calm and shine on!

Sunny Meadow Fair

Hello friends (:

Good news to share!  The new stamp collection illustrated by Stacey Yacula has just been launched!  Sunny Meadow Fair is now available at Purple Onion Designs (:

All I can say about this new collection is fun, fun, fun!  Lots of fun!  It reminds me of the days when the UK funfair came to Singapore many years back with the scary but fun rides, the game booths and all the funfair food treats stalls!

Sunny Meadow Fair features images of rides, treats, games and endearing little animals having a fun day at the fair.  Together with the past collections, Sunny Meadow Fair will just work wonderfully to create perfect cards and projects for any occasion!

For a limited time the entire Sunny Meadow Fair stamp collection is available for $108.00, which is at a discounted price of over 30% off.  This special bundle set includes all 24 stamps (30 individual images) and is available until Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

There is also 3 new sentiment sets that coordinate with Sunny Meadow Fair and the other past collections.

Sharing my first project using Sunny Meadow Fair.

Have a Little Fun On Your Birthday

For this card, I wanted to make the Game booth the main attraction so I kept the colours of the Fairgrounds background a little more subtle.  Firstly, I stamped Game booth on my fave mixed media paper from Daler Rowney and then masked it with Inkadinkado Stamping mask paper and then I stamped on the Fairgrounds background.

I gave the black ink to some time to sink into the mixed media paper before I start to blend in some distress ink for the blue sky of Fairgrounds background.  Using Neenah Classic solar white paper, I stamped the little barrel from Fair accessories and also Dusty (the cute little mouse holding the ball) and used my Silhouette Cameo PixScan function to have them electronically cut out.  Alternatively, you can also fussy cut the images.  I coloured all images using Copic markers.

For the final touch, I used one of the sentiment from the Carnival/Fair Marquee set that is just perfect for the scene.

I hope you like the card that I've made using these new images from Sunny Meadow Fair.  For  more amazing cards, please head over here to see what the design team has put up and I'm sure you will be truly inspired!

Do check back in a day or two and I'll have more cards to share (:

Keep calm and craft on!
