Another Halloween Card

It's Monday, another new day for the start of a new week.

I just wish the haze will just go away.  It's been like 3 weeks now with the gloomy haze surrounding the little red dot ~ Singapore.  Checking the PSI level has been like a routine thing to do every morning and every hour.

Not able to do much outdoor activities, the best thing to do is stay at home and make more cards! What a wonderful idea!

The soccer training on Saturday was cancelled and so we have no choice but to stay indoors so I had a bit of free time to make another card-in-a-box.

Here is Little Witch Lucy from CC Designs Rubber Stamps and Dies.  She's all sweet and not scary at all even as she's holding an eyeball! (gasp! Hahaha!)

I coloured her with my favourite Copic markers and I tried to go a little further with the blending and the shading on her witch hat this time round.

Again I used the Silhouette Cameo to cut out the A2 haunted house box card from the Silhouette Design Store and added a the scary tree with the cat to give the card a little more details.

I love the how the card turned out, love all the "happenings" right behind cute witch Lucy.  With the "Boo" cut out sentiments from the Silhouette Design Store (again!) the card-in-a-box is complete!

Hope you like what I've shared today!  Stay cool and craft on!  And have a great week ahead!

Lucy With Bunnies

Yay!  I didn't wait too long to have another blog entry!

Today I'm sharing a my card-in-a-box!  When I first saw card-in-a-box at Instagram I'm totally fascinated and wanted to make one badly but I didn't know how to start off.  I went on to YouTube and try to watch a couple of videos but the measurement with the inches (in Singapore, we use centimetres more than inches) and the folding really confuses me!

So how did I figure it out now?  Well, with Silhouette Cameo everything seems easy!

Here is Lucy with Bunnies from CC designs stamps and dies on the card-in-a-box!

I adore Lucy, she's just so sweet with the 2 bunnies. And I think the sentiment is just the perfect match with Lucy.  Totally positive thinking!

The box was cut out using the Silhouette Cameo.  I picked a Easter A2 box card from the Silhouette design store and I also cut out some trees to fill the back of the card so as to make it look a little "fuller" at the back.

I coloured Lucy using my Copic markers and then die cut it with the coordinating die, and after that I just adhere the cut outs on the box.

Hope you like the Lucy with Bunnies card-in-a-box that I've shared today!

Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Golden Jubilee Weekend

Happy Midweek everyone!

It's been a hectic golden jubilee weekend for me as the holiday started on last Friday and all the way till Monday but we had a lot of fun!  I didn't have much time to craft or to blog as we were rushing to have all the school work done so that we can thoroughly enjoy the long weekend without worries (:

This year's National Day, also known as our Golden Jubilee was a very special one.  It's 50 years of independence for Singapore and there were a lot of national programs lined up!

How did we spend our National Day?  Well, we went early to Marina Bay Sands in hope to get the best spot for the special fireworks!

Here are some of the shots of the flyover parade and fireworks to share!

And look how I show my love for Singapore!  I had Patriotic Wryn from Tiddly Inks holding a Singapore flag!  Patriotic Wryn (digital image) comes with a plain clear flag and I had my DH helped me draw the crescent and the stars, replicating the Singapore flag.  Cool isn't it? (:

And somehow I'm glad that all the buzz of celebrations came to an end, and again I can have my personal time when the kid goes back to school.

Yesterday I spent half of my morning making a birthday shaker card for a lovely friend of mine.  I hope she will like it!

Here is Birthday Birgitta from CC designs  rubber stamps.  I coloured her with my favourite Copic markers and die cut the image with the coordinating dies from CC designs rubber stamps.  And I also used My Favorite Things Peekaboo Jumbo die to cut the shaker window.  I love this peekaboo die very much and I actually have them in both the Jumbo and regular size!

I like making shaker cards especially when it comes to the part of adding in the beads, blings and sequins!  It makes me feel like I'm a wizard adding in different stuff into a pot making potions!  And I had friends and family members telling me they had fun shaking the cards hearing the sequins and beads shaking!  Cool isn't it?!

That's all for now.  I hope you like shaker cards as much as I do (:  Stay cool and craft on!
